Privacy notice
Last updated September 30, 2026
SaferResident is run by Giraffe Solutions LLC, a Wyoming company. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to privacy@saferresident.com.
What we collect
From landlords and property managers: your name, work email, company, the buildings you add (name, address, year built, shutoff locations, emergency numbers) and the photos of shutoff valves you upload.
About residents: the name, unit and lease email your landlord gives us, and course progress: which cards were completed, quiz results, completion dates and certificate IDs. To prevent cheating we keep hashed device and session identifiers, never the raw values.
From this website: what you type into our contact form. We use no advertising trackers.
How we use it
To run the course, send invites and one time sign in codes, issue certificates, show landlords who has completed the course, and reply to requests. We never sell personal information and we never send residents marketing messages.
Photos
If a landlord turns on the optional photo check, residents take a photo in the app. We analyze it, keep only the result (for example, risk found or no risk found) and delete the photo.
Where data is stored
All data is stored in the United States. Each landlord's resident data is kept in its own separate database.
The course assistant
The course has an AI assistant that answers questions about the course and the building. It always says it's an AI. Conversations are logged so we can check the quality of its answers.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Residents can also ask their landlord. Depending on your state, you may have more rights, and we'll honor them.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and tell our customers by email.
